I am a Professional Freelance Journalist based in Scotland, writing about all aspects of the natural world, specialising in conservation issues. 

I have a BSc in Conservation Biology (Honours) from Aberdeen University and a Master of Research in Ecology and Environmental Biology from Glasgow University.  I have also worked for numerous conservation organisations in the UK such as RSPB, travelled extensively, and worked abroad in South America and Africa.  I am hugely passionate about conserving our planet and all living things, and love to read, write and educate about nature conservation. 

Since qualifying as a Professional Freelance Journalist from the British College of Journalism in 2009, I have written for Birdwatching Magazine, The Ecologist,, Africa Geographic, Africa Birds & Birding and Birdwatch, and many other local publications/websites.
